End of the World

It is the End of the World!

I got a cavity! Ugh, I can't believe it. I haven't had a cavity for ages, literally AGES! So, they had to numb my whole mouth to do the filling and drilling. My routine check-up, which I thought was only going to last me an hour, actually lasted 3 hours.

Afterwards, I had to go to physical therapy so I was trying to down my protein shake and let me tell you, that was not fun. I unskillfully got protein shake all over my sweater because I couldn't swallow everything correctly. From this experience, it got me thinking. How the HECK did I do it when I was young. I remember when I was younger, when we finished getting our fillings from the dentist, my mom would always take me and my younger brother to Subway to get sandwiches. Believe it or now, I was actually able to gobble everything up.

However, when I was desparately trying to drink up today, it just seemed impossible. I just don't get it.

Well, as for the cavity, I blame the braces. It has to be the braces. 6 months ago, when I did a regular check-up, it was fine! Nothing! When I went in today, one of my old fillings was not "sticking" very well and the cavity was on the same tooth (more inner, where the tongue lays). Seriously! Not only did they needed to replace my old filling, they had to make a sew filling for my cavity. Well, on the bright side, at least it was on the same tooth.

Like I said, it's the braces. All this shifting around in my mouth (feels like plate tetonics) must be wearing my poor teeth down; making a new "bite" every month. My dentist also recommended that I go to the store and buy a "water-pick." I don't really know what that is, but all I really got from it was: it's like a toothpick, but in the form of water. She wanted me to clean my teeth more, on top of flossing and using those small cleaning brushes for braces. From the looks of what I just googled, seems correct.

Well, I felt that I should let everyone know that my world is ending because I got a cavity.
